With over 1,200 beaches surrounding the island, Puerto Rico is filled with gorgeous beaches where you can swim, snorkel, and enjoy a relaxed time on the sand.
An approximate of 200 inches of water rain yearly on the rain forest making rivers and stream one of the most dangerous areas in the island. Puerto Rico have 224 rivers with 55 of those rivers ending in the ocean, and 553 gorge streams hidden in the thick rain forest.
Thousand of acres were used to be part of large agricultural land, now they are left to the mercy of nature where they protect local plants and animals.
Puerto Rico is an island where light pollution is severe due to the overpopulation that finding a good pocket of clear sky is memorable. In the Starlight Gallery you will see the images where I was able to capture the stars above.
Currently Puerto Rico is going through some rough moments with a corrupt government, major natural disaster and an economical crisis yet our culture and traditions is what unites us during difficult times.
